Parents Get Bullied On Social Media Too

Cyberbullying is a huge problem among children, but some people do not realize that parents could get cyberbullied also. Social media disputes regularly target parents that are requesting information or trying to socialize. Facebook parenting classes are famous for being cliquish and unwelcoming to parents that join. And it's not really a surprise that most parents are demonstrating bad behaviour online. Various studies have demonstrated that people feel permitted to be mean or cruel online in a sense that they would not inperson. Children pick up on that and become bullies themselves when they hear parents talk about the way they bully others on line.

I Was A Victim

I used to be a casualty of internet mom bullying when I joined a neighborhood parent Facebook group. A brand new participant in the group asked a concern regarding a school event and was immediately designated for torment by the others in the group. As soon as I defended the newest mother the group turned on me. Needless to say, I am an adult, so that I was better equipped to handle the bullying compared to a kid would be. But it was still very upsetting and frightening.

Absolutely no Individual deserves to be bullied

Subsequent to one other moms in the group decided to produce my own life as hard as you can they started sending me hundreds of messages berating and belittling me. One kept telling me to kill myself as my children will be better off without me. As fast as I'd block them they would produce new dummy accounts and message me again. And on facebook, you cannot block strangers by sending you messages.

The Bullies Gain Strength

They began texting everyone on my Facebook friends list saying terrible things about me. And so they phoned my supervisor and tried to get me fired. They almost did get me fired. My boss told me to keep my personal problems out of the workplace because he was angry that they were emailing and calling always. They even had their kiddies harass my kiddies at school. It had been dreadful. And if it had been very troubling for me as an adult I cannot even imagine how difficult it really is for a kid to manage that type of behaviour.

We teach our children to not question, why not we do exactly the very same? What You Can Do

You are not responsible for people bullying you and you are not responsible for the actions of the others. If you're being bullied on social networking accounts your bullies and prevent them. Keep a record of every message and every incident so that you can report them in the town where you live. Also, check on Kiwi Searches if they have done something like this earlier. However, there are also some method to protect yourself online to prevent any serious effects if you really do get bullied such as:

Don't list your employer publicly on your own profile. This merely tells people how to frighten you even further.

Don't list your address or any personal information openly in your profile. Make sure that all of your security settings are locked down tight.
